Cultivating Your Critter I.Q.

About GEE Funny Farm

At GEE Funny Farm, we believe participants become animal trainers – any time people have contact with animals they are ‘training’ it to believe that people are caring and fun to be around, or that people are scary and best to be avoided.  The GEE Funny Farm set-up encourages love, respect, and safety between participants and animals.

Our animals are like family members. Many have been with us for a long time, some are from rescues or humane societies.  They have met many people and they LOVE meeting animal lovers.

About Us

Kathy has a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has worked with kids K-12, from an early age since her mom was a teacher and she was actively involved in her children's schools. She also  worked as an educational Sign Language Interpreter for ten years in a variety of school settings.  She was acting President of the PTO in her community for two years. She has also been a leader in her church's nursery with children 18 months to 3 years old for eight years, taught in the Primary organization for kids 3-12, and served for over four years as a leader for girls from ages 8-12.  For the past six years, she has taught adults in her church. For over fifty years, she has had a variety of animals that she has shared with schools, scout troops, and science centers.
David has retired from the computer industry and is a great people person.  He's learned a lot about animals over the years and enjoys teaching.  He has worked with the youth (12-18 years old) at church and with both the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts sponsored by our church as a leader and as Committee Chairman.
